The Centre for Sustainable Power Distribution at the University of Bath is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the team on an EPSRC funded Supergen Hub for Energy Networks. The key objective of the Hub is to broaden the understanding of the ‘whole systems approach’ that will be necessary to transform the UK energy system. There are a total of 6 themes across the Hub, this post is to advance research in the market and regulation for energy networks and to bring the communities together to collectively develop holistic and enduring commercial and regulatory solutions that are fit for the future energy networks. The successful candidate will take a leading role in coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and with industry and policy makers to ensure the research deliver tangible impact.
Applicants should hold a PhD degree in a relevant engineering discipline, and an appreciation of economics and system decomposition is highly desirable.
The post is full time (36.5 hours per week) and is being offered on a fixed term contract basis, starting as soon as possible and with an expected expiry date of 30 June 2022.
