Scientists from developing countries who have recently earned their PhD can gain invaluable experience working with prominent scientists in a developing country through TWAS fellowships. Postdoctoral fellowships, lasting from six months to three years, are hosted in Brazil, India, Malaysia, Pakistan and Thailand.

ISDB-TWAS POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

Early career researchers from 21 Least Developed Member Countries of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) are eligible for an ambitious new postdoctoral programme offered by IsDB and TWAS. The fellowships will support research related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, providing recipients with high-level training in areas relevant to sustainability science.

TWAS-CSIR POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

For young scientists from developing countries (other than India) who wish to pursue postdoctoral research in emerging areas in science and technology for which facilities are available in laboratories and institutes of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of India.

TWAS-SN BOSE POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

The S.N. Bose National Centre for Basic Science in Kolkata, India, and TWAS have established a fellowship programme for foreign scholars from developing countries who wish to pursue postdoctoral research in physical sciences.

TWAS-ICCBS POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

For young scientists from developing countries (other than Pakistan) who wish to pursue postdoctoral research in organic chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular medicine, pharmacology or physical chemistry at the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) — comprising the H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry and the Dr. Panjwani Centre for Molecular and Drug Research in Karachi, Pakistan.

TWAS-NCP POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

For young scientists from developing countries (other than Pakistan) who wish to pursue postdoctoral research in physical sciences in departments and laboratories of the National Centre for Physics (NCP) in Islamabad.

TWAS-BIOTEC POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

For young scientists from developing countries (other than Thailand) who wish to pursue advanced research in the biotechnology at the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) in Thailand.
