CSIRO’s Data61 is at the forefront of digital science and innovation, leading both in developing new research as well as working across disciplines and sectors to apply technologies and drive impact.   

Data61 is undergoing tremendous growth and looking to hire experienced leaders across the following capability areas: 

  • Natural Language Processing (NLP) 
  • Software Engineering for AI (SE4AI)  
  • Natural Hazards/Environmental Analytics 
  • Cybersecurity 
  • Machine Learning  
  • Industry 4.0  
  • Robotics 
  • Computer Vision 

We are looking for senior professionals that have a PhD (or an equivalent combination of qualifications and research experience) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Sciences, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or similar and experience leading and mentoring a research team. These opportunities will be appointed on an indefinite basis, and we are open to applicants working from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra or remote when feasible.
