  • International-level research in the volume equivalent to at least 1.5 doctoral theses in five years.
  • Research topics should preferably relate to memorates and place-lore from a folkloristic perspective.
  • Conducting lectures and seminars.
  • Supervision of BA, MA and PhD students.
  • Organizing conferences and seminars.
  • Popularization of the discipline of folkloristics.

  • Internationally recognized published research in a relevant field, incl. editing and reviewing academic manuscripts for international and local publications.
  • Experience in teaching and supervising students at the university.
  • Experience in participating in grant projects, organising academic events, and popularising the specialisation internationally and in Estonia.

Required language skillsExcellent knowledge of spoken and written Estonian. Knowledge of English or German, sufficient for communication in the specialty.
