The Faculty of Science and Technology invites applications for a faculty position as associated professor within Sustainable Building physics. The position is full time and permanent.
We look for candidates who wants to contribute on the transition towards a more sustainable society, where great changes are implied to the building industry in how buildings are built and maintained. The energy system, local energy production, heating, cooling and ventilation as well as use of sustainable building materials is also affected by this transition. At a broader scale, the cross disciplinary field between non-structural engineering, architecture and structural engineering should be important for the successful candidate.
The position is affiliated in the department of Building- and Environmental Technology. This department consists of the building-group and the Water-group. The building-group is responsible for the MSc study program “Construction engineering and architecture”. The program educates approximately 30 MSc students yearly. It is the only study construction engineering program in Norway with a strong interdisciplinary focus, combining construction, building physics and architecture. The group consists of three scientific positions within construction engineering, two positions within building physics, and three scientific positions within architecture.
We believe that talented and inclusive groups deliver the highest quality research and are seeking applications from high quality candidates who enhance the diversity of our existing building group. The department is committed to creating opportunities for people traditionally under-represented in building physics and strives to maintain a culture where people can be their authentic selves.
The Norwegian University of Life sciences is ranked sixth among Norwegian universities, colleges, companies and other public institutions that have received some funding from the EU research program HORIZON2020.
