Responsibilities and qualifications
The position is placed in the Section for Mathematics, and your research must be within one or more of the focus areas in the section: Algebra, dynamical systems, geometry, and harmonic analysis. You have a clear view of the application potential of your research and are open for collaboration with researchers in the applied sciences.
Through your high-quality scientific research, you will be developing your own research profile. You have the ambition to publish your results in highly reputed international venues and to lead scientific activities, and you enjoy participating in collaborative research projects. You aim at strengthening and expanding the research and research-based teaching competences of the section, and you look forward to engaging in close collaboration with other members of the section and DTU Compute. You are expected to explore the possibility of seeking external funding to support and enhance your research.
You will participate in planning and teaching at the BSc-, BEng-, MSc-, and PhD levels. Bachelor courses are mostly taught in Danish, other courses in English. We expect you to learn Danish and be able to teach in Danish after 3 years. DTU can provide Danish language courses. As our new Tenure Track Assistant Professor you will get the opportunity to supervise BSc and MSc student projects, as well as co-supervise PhD-students. You are eager to contribute to the innovation of our teaching methods and course portfolio, employing and developing e-learning tools where appropriate.
As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

Salary and terms of employment
The position is a full-time position. The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. Starting date is 1 January 2023 (or according to mutual agreement).
