he Purdue University Office of Research Communications (ORC), a unit in the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships has an immediate opening for an internship beginning in May 2022. This position has the opportunity to grow into a full-time role following graduation.
The Office of Research Communication is a growing organization focused on enhancing the reputation of Purdue University as a leader in research. The ORC helps to share research that aligns with Purdue’s research priorities, Purdue Next Moves initiatives, and highlights the cross-cutting research and its significant impact or potential impact on our society and our understanding of the world around us. In addition to sharing stories about research, the ORC provides marketing and communications support for OEVPRP, which includes more than a dozen of Purdue’s research centers and institutes, several research support organizations, and units that manage global and industry partnerships. 
The student will work as a collaborative part of the ORC creative team, helping to coordinate and communicate with colleagues and clients to ensure excellent support and solutions for our many stakeholders. 
Responsibilities:
⦁    Conduct outreach to maintain strong relationships with the client/stakeholder and identify services and solutions that support the clients’ needs. 
⦁    Assess inquiries and manage new project requests, including presenting the request, stakeholders, mission connection and relevant parameters to the creative team. Adds and manages new projects in project management database.
⦁    Onboard new client accounts, which includes the collection of required documentation and client information 
⦁    Plan client meetings and trainings, managing client engagement and follow up interactions
⦁    Conduct research, including potential examples of strategies or solutions from inside or external to the university
⦁    Work with subject matter experts, leaders and others to prioritize and organize the workflow operation and administration of client accounts.
⦁    Collaborate with the ORC team, vendors and others as needed to help improve workflows. 
⦁    Process new accounts by obtaining all necessary approvals and ensuring all client documentation is returned, completed, and approved.
Eligibility:
⦁    Are on-campus for the next calendar year
⦁    Are interested in client services, project management and strategic communication
⦁    Have prior experience working as part of a collaborative team to manage large projects
