Job Summary

The PARI Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of project specific quality assurance programs in accordance with the quality requirements defined by contract terms and conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a ground-breaking, innovative new initiative with the Purdue Applied Research Institute! This individual will work with the project technical team to develop and implement the quality assurance portion of all activities and deliverables including but not limited to: (i) engineering, (ii) design, (iii) procurement, (iv) fabrication / construction of all components, (v) assembly / installation of all components, (vi) testing (including calibrations of instrumentation and associated systems and the maintenance of such records), (vii) data processing, (viii) reporting, (ix) development of computer models, (x) assessment and reporting of results. 

This person will collaborate with project managers and project principal investigators (PIs) regarding project timelines, deliverables, budget, and resolution of quality concerns and issues while anticipating and communicating next steps. This person must utilize quality-engineering expertise to help guide decisions and best practices throughout project durations.

Required:

  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline, preferably mechanical or civil engineering discipline 
  • Five (5) years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance roles, writing quality plans for testing projects and cases
  • Excellent understanding of quality standards
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop reports and presentations 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Must be adaptive and flexible to change
  • Must be comfortable with some level of ambiguity and fluctuating responsibilities

Preferred:

  • Leadership experience 
  • Experience with the implementation, certification, and operation of an ISO 17025 quality management system
