Position Overview

The University of Calgary invites applications for temporary Administrative positions in various departments. Your key purpose is to provide temporary part-time or full-time, short-term administrative relief.

Position Description

Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

Duties will vary depending on the position and the department, and may include general reception, customer service, photocopying, filing, and/or data entry. As well, you may co-ordinate and organize a variety of operations and services, schedule meetings, make travel arrangements, draft documents, and develop presentations using a variety of software programs.

Accountabilities may include the ability to complete all work assigned in a thorough and accurate manner. Ability to manage your time effectively to carry out overall administrative support to the department. As well as the ability to maintain effective and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Your qualifications should include a Grade 12 diploma supplemented with training and experience in an administrative role. You have strong organizational and time-management skills and have excellent oral and written communication skills. You have excellent typing and proof reading skills. As well, you have a great working knowledge of Microsoft computer applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), web research and e-mail applications.
