The MPI-FKF is an internationally renowned institute of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science with a staff of 400 working in the field of fundamental research in chemistry and physics.
We seek applicants for a postdoctoral research position in the group for correlated phases of quantum materials led by Laura Classen at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research (MPI-FKF) in Stuttgart, Germany.
Postdoctoral Researcher in Condensed Matter Theory
We are looking for highly motivated candidates who are interested in quantum phase transitions and non-Fermi-liquid behavior in correlated electron systems, including quantum criticality in metals and Dirac materials.
Candidates should have the following qualifications
- Ph.D. in theoretical physics
- Experience with quantum field theory methods
- Very good publication record in a relevant research field
The position is available as of September 2024 with anticipated duration of two years. Salary and social benefits will be in accordance with the regulations of the German TVöD Bund (salary agreement for public service employees).
