Full-time faculty members typically teach up to twenty contact hours per week in one or more of the ELI’s varied and innovative programs. Qualifications include: a master’s degree in TESL/TEFL or in a related field, at least three years of relevant classroom experience at the time of the application, substantial expertise in English for Academic Purposes or teacher training, and the ability to teach in person on campus. Candidates may also have experience in course design, curriculum development, assessment, K-12 teaching, living outside of the U.S., and learning an additional language. Qualified candidates may be able to teach courses in the MA-TESL program. Continuing-track faculty at the University of Delaware have teaching-focused appointments.
