About our school

We have recently invested heavily to recruit staff whose innovative work is having a large impact on international research agendas.
The opportunity
To support our strategy, we would like to appoint at least one Senior Lecturer or Reader (i.e., Associate Professors, with the Reader title indicating a profile closer to full professor).
As our new Senior Lecturer or Reader, you’ll have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself into the intellectual life of the School of Economics, extending your high-quality research agenda, reaching out to external networks of collaborators. You’ll be fully supported in contributing to research activities within the School, as well as participating in externally funded collaborative research projects, alongside your own. Through your teaching you’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in the leadership, engagement and satisfaction of our student population at any level, including the opportunity to mentor and support our outstanding MSc and PhD students.
We’re looking for global talent and will support you with your relocation, and for exceptional candidates, consideration will be given to a market uplift on salary.
About you
You’ll have an excellent record of publications in internationally recognised journals, success in module development and curriculum innovations, and experience of associated administrative duties. You’ll share our world-class ambitions, possess strong leadership skills and will thrive in a values led collegiate community. You’ll be committed to high quality and rigorous Research with an excellent reputation in Teaching and student satisfaction.
Application process
We encourage applications from candidates from any field in Economics and candidates will be appointed at the appropriate level within our salary range. Please submit a cover letter, indicating how your profile would enhance the School’s research and teaching environment, and a copy of your CV along with the names of three referees. Applications will be reviewed on a continuous basis.
