- conducting research in the field of ecology and biogeography of biotic interactions in plant communities, with special emphasis on mycorrhizal symbiosis and herbivory; development of methodological solutions in the same fields;
- international-level research in the volume equivalent to at least two doctoral theses is expected in five years;
- securing the resources necessary for the research, development and creative activities (RDC activities);
- performing contracts related to RDC activities and taking responsibility for its effectiveness;
- participation in teaching, supervision of postgraduate students.

- At least 5 years of experience in the field of biology and biogeography of biotic interactions and plant communities, with special emphasis on mycorrhizal symbiosis and herbivory.
- Methodological skills related to the study of these communities.
- Author / co-author of at least 10 research articles indexed by Web of Science Science during the last five years.
- Master’s or doctoral theses must be defended under the supervision or co-supervision of the candidate.
Required language skillsFluent in English. According to the Language Act, academic staff with foreign citizenship working in Estonia must have acquired at least B1-level Estonian language skills after five years of work. The Centre for Professional Development offers foreigners and their family members the opportunity to participate in Estonian language courses.
