ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, PHARMECEUTICAL SCIENCES
The School of Pharmacy at the University of Waterloo is seeking an outstanding scholar and researcher for a full-time, regular tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, in the areas of Pharmaceutical Sciences/Pharmacology. In the case of an exceptional candidate, an appointment at the rank of Associate Professor will be considered. The anticipated start date is April 1, 2023.
The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to scholarship and teaching, and develop a robust, externally funded research program that supports graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. Evidence of an actively developing research program is required. Evidence of teaching excellence, innovation and flexibility in teaching modality will be highly valued. Successful candidates are expected to have a PhD or equivalent terminal degree. Applicants who are Pharmacists should be eligible for registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
The salary range for this position at the rank of Assistant Professor is $100,000 to $130,000. Negotiations beyond this salary range will be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.

The successful candidate will also have a record of outstanding teaching, or will be able to provide evidence of potential to develop and deliver introductory and advanced courses in any area of analytical chemistry in the chemistry programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – QUANTUM INFORMATION
Applications are invited for two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, and in special cases Associate or Full Professor, at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC). These positions can be held in any of the departments and schools connected to IQC: Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Combinatorics and Optimization, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chemistry, Physics & Astronomy, and the Cheriton School of Computer Science. The anticipated start date will be September 1, 2023.
A PhD and significant evidence of excellence in research in quantum information science and technology and the potential for effective teaching are required. Responsibilities include the supervision of graduate students and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Based on qualifications, an annual salary range of $100,000 to $155,000 will be considered. Negotiations beyond this annual salary range will be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates. The search is open to all areas of quantum information that connect with the goals and ongoing research at IQC.
IQC is a collaborative research institute at the University of Waterloo focused on quantum information science and technology, ranging from the theory of quantum information to practical applications. At present, IQC has a complement of 30 faculty members, 47 postdoctoral fellows and 200 graduate students from the Faculties of Engineering, Mathematics and Science. Membership in IQC is renewable and comes with research space, a teaching reduction of one course per year, and a stipend. Assistant Professors, Sustainability and Financial Management, University of Waterloo
The School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED), in the Faculty of Environment, University of Waterloo, invites applications for two tenure-track positions with expertise that combines financial management and sustainability. These tenure-track positions will be filled at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have a PhD in a related field and may not have all their degrees from the same traditional discipline. Preferred candidates will have research expertise and demonstrated teaching excellence in one or more of the following areas: sustainable finance; climate finance; responsible or impact investing; sustainability assurance; integrated ESG measurement, materiality, and reporting; strategic integration of sustainability objectives; climate risk disclosure and valuation; and human capital and social accounting.
