The Centre of Expertise in Learning and Teaching (CELT) plays an important role in the further development of educational innovation and teacher professionalisation at the UT. Currently, we are looking for a  operational manager who will coach and support our 24 educational consultants and trainers in their work and expertise development, bringing the operations of CELT to the next level

The manager is supported by a small office management team and works together with the CELT Head of Department and two coordinators. The manager ensures that the Centre runs smoothly, is responsible for all financial and HR processes, housing, and ICT for CELT. Maintaining contacts and agreements with the faculties and the Technology Enhanced Learning & Teaching team are part of the tasks. The manager fosters the CELT community to enhance and professional development and mutual knowledge sharing.

With the CELT Head of Department, the manager is responsible for bringing CELT to the next level, supporting and guiding the UT teaching staff with workshops, trainings and projects. Building connections in the network of educational innovators within the UT is essential so that the university is prepared for – and can take the lead in innovations in Higher Education. 

CELT is part of the Centre for Educational Support (CES). The manager will join the Management Team of CES. The MT determines the strategy, annual plans, budgets and policies of CES, utilizing the knowledge and skills of its eight departments to support all educational processes and developments within the UT.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Outstanding people manager with strong coaching and  community building skills
  • Academic level, for example in business administration, educational science, organizational psychology
  • Several years’ experience in a leadership position and is able to support the development of a team of professionals in a changing environment
  • Has an interest in higher education and educational innovation; is able to position CELT inside and outside the UT
  • Works well in a team, can challenge but is open to other opinions.
  • Is solution oriented
  • Strong communication skills, both in English and in Dutch (both B2 level minimum)

OUR OFFER

  • Depending on qualifications and experience, your gross monthly salary has a maximum of €6181- gross per month on a full-time basis (salary scale 12)
  • This position is for 0,8 fte, 32 hours per week, for an initial period of one year with the prospect of a permanent contract.

INFORMATION AND APPLICATION

The application process will be supported by Sanne Lohman, from Lohman Advies. Selected applicants  will have an intake with her, and will be presented to the UT in week 3 of 2023. The UT decides which of them  will be invited to join the subsequent selection process: the first round of interviews with the UT will be on January 23rd, 2023, a second round will be held on January 25th, 2023. In the second round candidates will be expected to present a case.
