| The postdoctoral project will focus on pharmacoepidemiological research and causal inference methods using data from national health, population and quality registers. The aim is to investigate the impact of socioeconomic factors on antidiabetic medications (ADM) use, discontinuation and type 2 diabetes (T2D) consequences such as cardiovascular diseases, kidney failure and retinopathy. The overarching purpose of the project is to identify differences in patterns of ADM use across socioeconomic groups, which will ultimately provide evidence for the development of targeted interventions for treatment management and guidelines increasing awareness about high-risk groups among the vulnerable population of T2D patients. Applicants will work on one of the two following projects: 1) Identification of the optimal cell preparation and cell composition to achieve precise and effective cell replacement with the minimal number of cells and cell types. For instance, younger women are known to have a worse survival compared to middle-aged women, but the underlying reasons are not well understood. The goal of this agreement is to improve the identification and prevention of problem gambling, both through independent scientific evaluations of current responsible gambling measures and through the transfer of clinical and public health knowledge in the development of new such measures. The doctoral student will be involved in all stages of quantitative research, including acquiring the necessary approvals, study design, processing and analysis of large and complex datasets, and scientific writing.
