Position Overview

Student Wellness Services invites applications for a Project Manager. This Full-time Limited Term position is for approximately 24 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Project Manager (PM) in Student Wellness, Access and Support (SWAS) will play a critical role in facilitating various quality improvement (QI) projects including the upcoming board-mandated review in the Student Wellness Services (SWS) and Student Accessibility Services (SAS) in Fall 

Position Description

Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate with the SWAS leadership team to plan and prioritize quality improvement projects
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and success criteria
  • Oversee project implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address any roadblocks or challenges that may arise
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to gain insights into areas for improvement
  • Work closely with relevant teams and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and best practices
  • Implement effective change management strategies to facilitate the smooth adoption of new processes and initiatives
  • Provide support and guidance to staff during transitional periods and address concerns proactively
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams
  • Collaborate with external partners, academic institutions, and community organizations to leverage resources and expertise
  • Act as a liaison between different stakeholders to promote cross functional cooperation
  • Utilize data driven insights to make informed decisions and measure project outcomes
  • Interpret complex data sets and present findings in a clear and concise manner to key stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within SWAS by developing and implementing strategies to sustain change and monitor outcomes

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health discipline, health administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred
  • Proven experience as a successful project manager in a large and complex system, preferably in a healthcare or wellness setting
  • Strong background in change management, demonstrating the ability to drive organizational transformation successfully
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, using tools such as Excel, statistical software, or business intelligence platforms
  • Highly self motivated and proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously
