The research group in Algebraic Geometry and Brummer&Partners MathDataLab at the Department of Mathematics is offering 1 two year postdoctoral position. The position is financed by a grant from the Verg Foundation and by the Brummer and Partners MathDataLab. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research within the area of algebraic Geometry and its application under the supervision of Sandra Di Rocco. A limited amount of teaching and some administration may be part of the duties.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline (With some exceptions for special reasons such as periods of sick or parental leave, kindly indicate if such reason exists in your resume).
  • Strong background in algebraic geometry and interest in its applications.
  • Written and spoken English proficiency, very good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong motivation and ability to work independently.
