The Humanoid Sensing and Perception Research Line is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow position interested in developing perception and control algorithms for robotic systems.
The selected candidate will join the interdisciplinary team of the iCub project. We are looking for talented and enthusiastic candidates who will join our team to work on robot localization and navigation in unknown environments.
This work will be implemented and validated experimentally using the robotic platforms available in the laboratory, namely iCub and R1
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor or Master degree in engineering, computer science or related fields.
• Good communication skills and ability to integrate within a team.
• Creative, proactive and collaborative attitude.
• English language skills (written and oral).
Desired qualification:
• Outstanding technical skills and excellent overall score in master classes.
• Experience with programming languages (e.g. C++, Python).
• Experience with collaborative software development and software versioning software (e.g. CMake, Git).
• Experience in open-source robotics software (such as ROS/ROS2, Gazebo or YARP).
