• conducting research in the field of ecology and biogeography of biotic interactions in plant communities, with special emphasis on mycorrhizal symbiosis and herbivory; development of methodological solutions in the same fields;
• international-level research in the volume equivalent to at least two doctoral theses is expected in five years;
• securing the resources necessary for the research, development and creative activities (RDC activities);
• performing contracts related to RDC activities and taking responsibility for its effectiveness;
• participation in teaching, supervision of postgraduate students.

• At least 5 years of experience in the field of biology and biogeography of biotic interactions and plant communities, with special emphasis on mycorrhizal symbiosis and herbivory.
• Methodological skills related to the study of these communities.
• Author / co-author of at least 10 research articles indexed by Web of Science Science during the last five years.
• Master’s or doctoral theses must be defended under the supervision or co-supervision of the candidate.

Required language skillsFluent in English. According to the Language Act, academic staff with foreign citizenship working in Estonia must have acquired at least B1-level Estonian language skills after five years of work.
