4. Diagnosis of some types of leukaemia.
5. Diagnosis of blood parasites infections either intercellular or intracellular.
6. Diagnosis of bacterial diseases, during bacteraemia.
7. Prognosis of disease through estimating the count of band cells or hypersegmented cells (Schilling Index).
8. Diagnosis of toxicity with some heavy metals like lead.
9. Estimation of the degree of anaemia as in case of nucleated RBCs, or reticulocytes.
10. Diagnosis of some viral diseases as Canine distemper, through the presence of intracellular inclusion bodies.
11. Evaluation of the bone marrow, through the presence of abnormal erythrocytes in the blood circulation.
12. Indirect method for counting of platelets.
