The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Research Fellow to join the School of Public Health & Preventive Medicine within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University on a 12-month fixed-term basis. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Director, Climate and Air Quality Research Unit, and will be asked to provide contributions to the teaching efforts of the university and carry out activities to maintain and develop your skills relevant to the profession or discipline.

This can include:

  • Proactively undertaking a range of research and contributing to the production of research papers from that research 
  • Involvement in professional activities in the field of expertise
  • Actively attend meetings associated with research or the work of the organisational unit 

This position is suited to a highly motivated individual who holds a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline area or a closely related field. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience in data linkage (e.g. re-gridding), causal inference, machine learning, remote sensing or mixture analysis, high level technical skills in data management/data merging/data analysis is essential to ensure efficient management of the multitude of datasets used for this project and experience working with environmental exposure, time series data, and cohort data is a plus.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
