Position SummaryA full-time Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Cristina Landeta in the Microbiology Program at Indiana University Bloomington to study oxidative folding in pathogenic bacteria.

The RA will be involved in:·         laboratory maintenance,·         plasmid construction,·         strain construction and validation,·         high throughput screening of small molecule inhibitors,·         enzymatic assays, bacterial assays and inhibitor development,·         study ofdisulfide bond forming pathways in bacteria

Basic QualificationsB.S in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field with previous research experience in microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry and microscopy is required.  M.S. or Ph.D. applicants will also be considered. Applicants must be well organized, detail-oriented, possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and able to work effectively in a laboratory setting with minimal supervision as part of a research team.
