Position Summary | A full-time Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Cristina Landeta in the Microbiology Program at Indiana University Bloomington to study oxidative folding in pathogenic bacteria. The RA will be involved in:· laboratory maintenance,· plasmid construction,· strain construction and validation,· high throughput screening of small molecule inhibitors,· enzymatic assays, bacterial assays and inhibitor development,· study ofdisulfide bond forming pathways in bacteria Information about the Landeta lab is at: https://landeta.lab.indiana.edu/. The successful applicant will join a friendly and motivated team with interests in microbial physiology and genetics, pathogenesis and biotechnology and enjoy a collaborative community within the Department of Biology. |
Basic Qualifications | B.S in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field with previous research experience in microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry and microscopy is required. M.S. or Ph.D. applicants will also be considered. Applicants must be well organized, detail-oriented, possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and able to work effectively in a laboratory setting with minimal supervision as part of a research team. |
